Supportive care and chemotherapy symptoms
Some cannabinoid medicines may be considered for chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting that persists despite standard anti-nausea treatment. This evidence does not apply to every cannabis oil. Decisions belong with the oncology team.
Pancreatic cancer
Preclinical studies investigate mechanisms, but do not prove that cannabis oil treats pancreatic tumors in humans. It must not replace oncology treatment.
Brain tumors and glioblastoma
Small early human studies, including an exploratory trial combining nabiximols with temozolomide, raise research questions. They do not establish a cure.
Can cannabis oil cure cancer?
There is currently insufficient clinical evidence to claim that it can cure cancer. Laboratory data and individual cases cannot substitute for controlled human trials.
Coordinate with your oncology team
Discuss formulations, side effects and possible medicine interactions with the team responsible for your cancer care. Never delay or stop evidence-based cancer treatment.
Ask about individual guidance
Speak with our team to find out whether guidance is appropriate for your situation.
